South Harbour is envisioned to be the exchange milieu of Finland’s spirit for discovery in marine arts and knowledge, and the civic realm for cultural heritage and

entrepreneurial tradition.

Our plan of Link • Connect • Activate for South Harbour aims to improve pedestrian linkages to the sea and visual clarity of the harbor for the city, to redefine the

waterfront as an urban destination of civic programs and marine activities for locals and visitors together, and to establish a sustainable culture and knowledge hub and community platforms for local interaction.

New waterfront will embody Finland’s public value for open exchange and marine tradition as well as Finland’s creativity in the arts and culture for the next century.
